§ I · The map you arrived with

Read the Human Design
map you arrived with.

Your Human Design chart is not a personality quiz. It is the blueprint of how your specific body takes in information, makes decisions, and spends energy. Eva draws it from the moment you took your first breath.

§ II · Cast your chart

Three lines of birth data.
A lifetime of recognition.

The chart is calculated from the exact moment, place, and day you were born. The more precise the time, the truer the read. If you only know the day, that is enough to start.

§ III · A definition

It is not astrology.
It is not a personality test.

Human Design is a system that takes the exact second you were born and translates it into a diagram of your inner mechanics. The system was put together in the late 1980s by stitching four older lineages onto one piece of paper: the I Ching, the Tree of Life from Kabbalah, the chakra system, and modern astrology. Then it added one strange and useful thing on top, which is the science of neutrinos passing through the body at birth.

You do not have to believe any of that for the chart to be useful. The diagram itself is the point. It gives you a vocabulary for things you have always sensed about yourself but never had names for. Why you decide the way you do. Why certain rooms drain you and certain people light you up. Why some advice that works for everyone you know lands wrong on you.

The chart does not predict your life. It describes the instrument you were handed at the start of it.

§ IV · The nine centers

Nine wheels, spinning differently in everyone.

Fig. II · The bodygraph, plate I

The bodygraph has nine geometric centers, each one a small engine that processes a different kind of information. Some of yours will be filled in with color on your chart, which is called defined. Those are the engines that run on their own consistent fuel. Some will be left empty, called undefined or open. Those are the places you take in the world around you, amplify it, and learn from it.

Neither state is better than the other. A defined center is a stable note you play. An undefined center is a tuning fork that picks up whatever is in the room. Most of what people call their problems are really just open centers that nobody ever taught them to recognize.

§ V · Four principles

Four things to learn,
before the rest unfolds.

You can spend a decade inside a Human Design chart and still find new corners. But these four are the load-bearing walls. Most of what changes for people in the first month comes from understanding only these.

I

Strategy

Strategy is the way your specific design is meant to enter a room, a conversation, a project. It is not a goal or a plan. It is closer to a posture. Each of the five types has a different one, and most of the friction in your life comes from using a strategy that belongs to someone else's body.

II

Authority

Authority is where in your body the right answer actually lives. For some people it lives in the gut. For some it only arrives after sleeping on something for a few nights. For others it shows up only when they hear themselves talk it out loud. Your authority is not your opinion. It is the place your truth sits before your mind gets to it.

III

Profile

Profile is the costume your design wears in the world. There are twelve of them, written as two numbers like 3/5 or 1/3. They tell you whether you learn by studying or by trying things and failing, whether you are meant to be seen or meant to stay private, whether you fix things or invent them.

IV

Definition

Definition describes how the active parts of your chart are connected to each other. Some people are wired in one continuous circuit, which makes them feel whole on their own. Others have two or three or four separate circuits, which means certain pieces of them only come online around other people. Knowing this changes what you ask of yourself when you are alone.

§ VI · The five types

Every human alive is one of five.

Type is the first and bluntest cut. It tells you what your energy is here to do and, just as importantly, what it is not built for. Most of the suffering in this system comes from people running a strategy that belongs to another type.

I

Generator

Generators are the engine of the planet. They carry a consistent inner motor in the sacral center that responds in real time, with a yes-feeling or a no-feeling, to whatever shows up. The mistake most generators make is initiating from the head instead of waiting for something to respond to. When they wait, work feels fuelled. When they push, they burn out by Wednesday.

Manifestor

Manifestors are the small percentage of people designed to start things from nothing. They do not need a response. They get an urge, and they move. The price for that freedom is impact: the people around them feel it when they act suddenly, so manifestors learn to inform before they move. Not ask permission. Just inform.

Projector

Projectors are not built to work the long hours that generators are. They are built to see the system clearly and guide it. Their strategy is to wait for the invitation, because their gifts only land when someone has recognised them. Unrecognised, they exhaust themselves trying to be useful in rooms that have not asked.

Reflector

Reflectors are the rarest. Every center in their chart is undefined, which makes them mirrors. They take in the health of the people and the room around them, and reflect it back. For big decisions, they are designed to wait twenty-eight days, one full lunar cycle, before deciding. Anyone who rushes a reflector is taking something from them.

Manifesting Generator

Manifesting generators carry the engine of a generator with the urgency of a manifestor. They are designed to do multiple things at once, to skip steps, and to course-correct mid-sprint. They look chaotic to people who are not built like them. They are not chaotic. They are just faster than the path looks.

§ VII · A small instruction

How to actually live with your chart.

The trap most people fall into when they first see their bodygraph is trying to memorise it. They want to know every gate, every channel, every line of their profile by the end of the weekend. That is not how the chart teaches you. The chart teaches by experiment.

Pick one piece. Your type, or your authority, or one undefined center. Run it for thirty days. If your authority says wait a few nights before answering, wait a few nights and watch what happens to the quality of your decisions. If your strategy says respond instead of initiate, notice every time you initiate and what it costs you that week. The body learns by feedback, not by reading.

Within a season you will have a relationship with the chart that no book can give you. Within a year, the language will be yours. People around you will start to feel different in a way they cannot quite name, because you have stopped fighting your own wiring.

This is what Eva does in the background. She remembers which gate you said you wanted to live differently. She notices when the same loop shows up in a new outfit. She does not lecture you about the chart. She uses it, quietly, as the lens for every answer she gives back.

§ VIII · The door

Your chart was already drawn.
You just have not seen it yet.

It takes ninety seconds to enter your birth data. The recognition takes longer, and it does not arrive all at once. It arrives the third time something Eva said turns out to be exactly the thing you needed to remember.
